Prepare for a medicine review
A useful appointment begins with a clear picture of what you take.
Make one current list
Include prescribed medicines, products bought without a prescription, vitamins and herbal remedies. Copy names and strengths from the packs rather than relying on tablet colour or memory.
Bring the questions that matter to you
- What is each medicine intended to do?
- How will we know whether the treatment is helping?
- Are any instructions unclear or difficult to follow?
- Who should I contact about problems between appointments?
Describe your experience
Write down concerns and when you noticed them. Explain practical difficulties, such as reading a label or remembering which pack is current. Your notes help keep the conversation focused without trying to diagnose the problem yourself.
Leave with a clear plan
Ask for clarification of any agreed changes and an updated medicine list. Record whom to contact if the written directions do not match the discussion.
